Ralph "Bud" Fry

Mr. Fry currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Parent Project®, Inc. He is a retired Police Sergeant with 18 years of Law Enforcement experience and has over a decade of experience as a parent educator. Bud is a past recipient of the California Governor’s Award of Excellence for Outstanding Contributions in Crime Prevention and the California Youth Authority’s Individual Service Award. His educational programs for families with high risk youth have been formally recognized by members of the United States Congress, the California State Legislature, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and the U.S. Department of Education.

Susan Mejia Johnson, MS.

Ms. Johnson holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.S. in Education. She has over 24 years of adult teaching experience and has presented at numerous local, state and national conferences on adult learning theory, student motivation and retention, and parent involvement. She currently manages a resource center serving high risk families for a large unified school district in California. Ms. Johnson has developed and implemented a multitude of parent education programs designed to meet the diverse needs of families.

Roger H. Morgan, Psy.D.

Dr. Morgan, a Licensed Psychologist practicing in Southern California, specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with behavior problems. His interest is working in a short term therapeutic model, helping parents’ to apply behavioral interventions in the home. Dr. Morgan has more than 20 years experience treating high risk adolescents and their families. He has consulted with school districts and communities to assist with the development and implementation of their high risk adolescent programs. Dr. Morgan continues to pioneer the use of psycho educational programs to improve the accessibility of mental health care.

Bonnie Burstein, Ph.D.
(Non-Presenting Special Consultant)

Dr. Burstein is a Licensed psychologist and currently serves on the faculty/staff at UCLA. She is co-founder of UCLA’s Self-Help Support Group Center and has worked to develop self-help groups for the past 25 years. Dr. Burstein is considered to be the foremost expert on structured self-help support groups.
